This comes as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a sharp increase in terms of the global demand for instant noodles, the report noted.
Most notably, instant noodle consumption has been particularly prominent within the Asian market. Indeed, the demand in Northeast Asia, including China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan accounts for 56.45% of global demand.
Elsewhere, the Southeast Asian region made up of Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia held a 25.24% share of worldwide demand for instant noodles.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the rate of domestic instant noodle consumption increasing by 67%, according to a recent survey conducted by Nielsen Vietnam Co. Ltd.
Vietnam is home to roughly 50 domestic and foreign-owned instant noodle producers, with some local companies posting 300% increases in their export of instant noodle products.
At present, the country exports its instant products to over 40 countries globally.
